Social Action

Mission:
The mission of the Second District Social Action Committee is rooted in service and compassion, inspired by I John 3:17-18: “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions in truth.” Guided by this principle, our mission is to serve the community through meaningful action and impactful initiatives.

Vision:
Our vision reflects Omega’s enduring commitment to uplifting those we encounter: “We must reach down and lift our fellow-men so that they, too, will stand as men of pride and character for all the world to see.” Wherever Omega has a presence, it must leave a legacy of positivity, empowerment, and fulfillment.

Goal:
The goal of the Social Action Committee is to act with integrity, purpose, and in accordance with God’s will. As it is written, “...when the record of the golden book is read, he (an Omega Man) shall not have cause to be ashamed.” Our efforts are not for recognition or self-promotion but to use our blessings—knowledge, skills, and talents—to uplift the less fortunate and create lasting, positive change in our communities.

Theme:
Inspired by Malcolm X’s analogy of a fist, our theme unites the strength of the five states in the Second District—Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Like the five fingers of a hand, each state brings unique abilities and strengths. Together, when formed into a unified "fist," we create unmatched power to tackle social concerns and community issues. Through our collective efforts, we embody the “Second District Fist of Fury,” driving impactful change with purpose and unity.
