Mission of the Reclamation and Retention Committee

The Reclamation and Retention Committee of the 2nd District is dedicated to reengaging inactive Brothers and fostering their return to fellowship and service within Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Reclamation is a core mandate of the Fraternity, embodying the spirit of friendship and unity that defines Omega.

The committee works collaboratively with chapters and Brothers across the District to reconnect with detached Brothers, inviting them to rejoin the fold and contribute their talents, expertise, and energy to the Fraternity's mission. This effort begins with ensuring the well-being of every Brother, encouraging participation in chapter meetings, social events, and service initiatives.

Aligned with the International Reclamation and Retention Committee, the 2nd District focuses on:

• Providing resources and strategies to engage inactive Brothers.

• Setting ambitious goals and benchmarks for successful reclamation efforts.

• Raising awareness and fostering opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.

Through these efforts, the committee seeks to honor the vision of the Founders by strengthening the Brotherhood and enhancing its impact on the community. Under the leadership of the 39th District Representative, Amir Shareef, the Reclamation and Retention Committee remains steadfast in its mission to bring Brothers back into active participation in the Mighty 2nd District.
