Overview
The Second District Public Relations Committee plays a crucial role in amplifying the achievements, initiatives, and impact of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. across Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. This committee ensures that the district’s activities and accomplishments are effectively communicated to both fraternity members and the broader community.

The Omegan: The Voice of the Second District
As the official publication of the Second District, The Omegan serves as a platform for highlighting the outstanding work of Second District chapters and their members. Published three times a year, The Omegan provides a comprehensive record of the fraternity’s service, leadership, and community engagement. An exclusive Conference Edition is printed and included in conference registration packages, offering a tangible representation of the district’s progress and impact.

Submission Guidelines for The Omegan
To maintain a high standard of publication, contributors must adhere to the following guidelines:

• Articles must be submitted in MS Word format (Times New Roman, 12 pt font, single-spaced).

• Word Limit: Articles should not exceed 500 words and must be written in narrative format (no bullet points).

• Photos:

  • Must be submitted separately as high-quality JPG files (at least 300 dpi resolution).

  • Do not embed or place photos within the article document.

  • Do not include captions or dates within the photo files—captions should be submitted separately.
